Use at the end of a working cycle, session, or section to codify the engineering lessons it produced into a reusable per-repo note in docs/lessons/ — design decisions and why, patterns established, gotchas, tradeoffs, root-caused bugs, "how X actually works here". The compounding step of a build cycle (plan → work → review → compound). Trigger on "compound this", "what did we learn", "capture this learning", "write up this session/cycle", or proactively after finishing a substantial piece of work. Repo-local engineering knowledge — distinct from your agent's persistent memory.
