Claude Code's marketplace auto-update is off by default for third-party marketplaces, and it never reaches a **directory** marketplace, which installs from a local clone that nothing pulls. So a machine can sit releases behind with no sign of it. This plugin's SessionStart hook compares every installed plugin with its marketplace's latest release and says what it found — including when everything is current, so a silent banner never means the check did not run.
